A 29ª edição dos Television Critics Association Awards teve lugar na passada sexta-Feira (3), no hotel Beverly Hilton, e a lista dos vencedores já foi divulgada.
Durante uma cerimónia não transmitida em televisão, mais de 200 jornalistas norte-americanos e canadianos premiaram os melhores atores e programas televisivos que marcaram a televisão americana durante 2012-2013.
Os grandes destaques da noite foram Breaking Bad e Game of Thrones, que receberam os prémios de Melhor Programa do Ano e Melhor Drama, respetivamente.
Mesmo com as grandes séries a saírem premiadas da gala, ainda houve espaço para algumas surpresas. Uma delas foi a vitória de Tatiana Maslany, pelo seu papel na série Orphan Black, na categoria de Melhor Prestação em Drama, enquanto que o favorito à vitória era Bryan Cranston, pelo seu papel em Breaking Bad.
Outro momento inesperado ocorreu quando, na categoria de Melhor Comédia, houve um empate entre as séries The Big Bang Theory e Parks and Recreation, sendo a única categoria este ano em que algo do género aconteceu.
Como prémios especiais tivemos o Prémio pela Carreira, atribuído à apresentadora Barbara Walters, e a nomeação de All in the Family como Série ou Programa de Importância Histórica.
