A MTV prepara-se para emitir a 28º edição dos MTV Video Music Awards. Será a 28 de Agosto, domingo, que a cerimónia irá para o ar, em directo, a partir do Nokia Theatre em Los Angeles.
Os nomeados já foram anunciados e cabe a Katy Perry a liderança no que toca ao número de nomeações: nove nomeações fazem com que a california girl seja a mais nomeada dos VMA’s. Não muito longe está a britânica Adele, que somou sete nomeações com o seu single Rolling In The Deep, o mais vendido de 2011 até este momento. Com o mesmo número de nomeações aparece ainda Kanye West, seguido de Bruno Mars que foi nomeado para quatro categorias.
